New Courses from Eucalyptus Provide Hands-On Training and Best Practices for Implementation; Prepare Users for Eucalyptus Certification
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – April 11, 2012 – Eucalyptus Systems, creator of the most widely deployed on-premise cloud computing platform, today announced the availability of several new training courses and certification for Eucalyptus 3. The new courses expand upon the Eucalyptus University curriculum, which provides industry-leading technical education and certification programs for the Eucalyptus cloud computing platform.
New courses include:
Eucalyptus 3: Design, Build, and Manage a Eucalyptus Cloud: A three-day hands-on, lab-centric course for cloud administrators who are building and managing a Eucalyptus cloud, and developers who will deploy and run applications on a Eucalyptus cloud. The course consists of lectures, instructor-led demonstrations, hands-on student labs, and in-class discussions.
Eucalyptus 3: What's New and Different: A two-day hands-on, lab-centric course for cloud administrators who are building and managing a Eucalyptus cloud and developers who will deploy and run applications on the Eucalyptus cloud. The course consists of lectures, instructor-led demonstrations, hands-on student labs, and in-class discussions. Prior attendance in the “Eucalyptus 2: Building and Using a Eucalyptus Cloud” course or equivalent experience is required.
Cloud Connections: Eucalyptus is expanding on the Cloud Connections live online technical training series to include several new "deep dive" courses on specific technical topics for Eucalyptus 3. The Cloud Connections series is ideal for students that are seeking to learn specific technical topics on Eucalyptus 3, but may not be prepared or available to commit to a full 3-day course.

Eucalyptus also announced the forthcoming Eucalyptus Certified Professional technical certification, which will be available in Q2 2012. The Eucalyptus Certified Professional exam tests candidates on their ability to perform essential design, installation, configuration, and management functions for a Eucalyptus 3 deployment.
