s3cmd Command Line Tool

s3cmd is command line tool for Amazon S3 and CloudFront services and may be used to manage Walrus, Eucalyptus' S3 compatible service. s3cmd is an open source, community developed and supported tool. Refer to the s3cmd project on github for more information about the project status and recent contributions.

Installing s3cmd

The following installation instructions come directly from the sc3cmd INSTALL document.

As user "root" run:

  rpm -ivh s3cmd-X.Y.Z.noarch.rpm

where X.Y.Z is the most recent s3cmd release version.

You may be informed about missing dependencies on Python or some libraries. Please consult your distribution documentation on ways to solve the problem.
