An update is now available that resolves this issue. We advise immediately updating all affected Eucalyptus installations following the instructions below. DESCRIPTION ------------- Walrus is a storage service included with Eucalyptus. It allows users to store and access persistent data organized as buckets and objects. An attacker could submit a specially-crafted REST request to the Walrus public interface that would allow the attacker to authenticate as a Eucalyptus admin user and potentially gain full access to objects stored on Walrus. SOLUTION ------------- Eucalyptus versions 3.0.2 and 3.1.0 resolve this issue. Please see http://www.eucalyptus.com/download/eucalyptus for instructions on downloading and upgrading to the latest Eucalyptus software.
